I want to start by saying thank you for visiting my blog and wanting to take the time to follow my journey as it will be a long but progressive one. I welcome all support and any questions that you have I will do my best to answer them. I will be updating my blog weekly so I can keep everyone up to date! Let’s talk about my first two weeks. The first day I met my trainer Jason Fiutem, who trains me at Exemplar Fitness, it was a little overwhelming but so exciting! He is a no nonsense do the work type of trainer that exudes positive energy and pumps me up all while being very serious about what we are doing which is gaining strength, teaching me lifelong good habits, losing weight and changing my overall health. One of the first questions he asked me was about my diet, which was awful. I ate any and everything I wanted and whenever I wanted. Ice cream before bed, midnight snack whatever it didn’t matter to me if I wanted it I ate it. Zero self-control. The first two weeks have been hard I’m not going to lie but I already feel so empowered and I genuinely get excited the moment I walk into the gym. I know that I am changing myself and taking back control of my life. The mind is the strongest part of our bodies if you ask me. That’s half the battle making sure I keep my head in the game. Training has been difficult but rewarding. The first day we worked out together he told me to get on the treadmill at an incline of 3 and a speed of 3.2 for two minutes I literally thought I was going to not make it I thought wow if this a warm up I am way more out of shape than I even thought and I might be in over my head. But now after only two weeks I can get on the treadmill for fifteen minutes and I may think I’m going to die but that’s when that mind over matter thing kicks in and you just do it! I can tell I’m already physically and mentally getting stronger. Like my trainer says “this is not a sprint it’s a marathon this is a lifestyle change we aren’t trying to get to the end as quickly as we can we are trying to make lasting healthy habits” I hope you will join me with your support on my journey because I definitely will need it! Until next week be healthy, enjoy your life and do something great for you!
